B2 Travel Visa

The B2 travel visa is a travel or holiday visa for any person who is not exempt from getting a visa and is not part of the visa waiver program. It is also for any person wishing to travel to the US for leisure purposes that are needing to stay for longer than 90 days at a time. For anyone who is part of the visa waiver program and has been denied an ESTA or another type of visa before, or for someone who has a criminal record or some other form of unapproved activity by the US Government, it is advised to apply for a B2 visa.

It is important to note that a B2 travel visa is a more expensive type of visa to obtain than an ESTA and is a more lengthy process to get this, so it is important to leave enough time to apply for this before your travel dates. You will also be required to book an interview with the US embassy in your city or country. This may take extra time and may not be in a convenient location to get to, so ensure to factor this in when applying for your visa.

This type of travel visa allows up to 6 months of stay in the USA and is for travel and leisure only. If you are needing a visa for work, studies, or for another reason, you will need to apply for a different type of visa.
